    Not too late to read.

    Uncle Scrooge - a very stingy duck who despite his harsh communications, manipulation and unreasonable requests, does love his family a lot. Also a very successful, hard working businessman with eyes for deals and obsession with his coin collection (hence the money pool).

    Same here, up $650K, then BAM! Perth takes a nose dive and I'm now about $200K. I only have to wait another 10 years before I get back all the money I never had in the first place :confused:

    Selling costs yes.... + stamp duty on a not cheap ppor is equal to an annual salary!

    And thats an annual salary before tax!

    If you account for salary after tax and after essential expenses (roof, food, etc), you probably need to save 2 years of income on a $75k median salary just to pay the approx $50k stamp duty on a median priced property in Syd..
