You're not Italian or Greek heritage by any chance? The farm at RedHill and the Dromana holiday house give it away. :p Fully sick.

It depends what you are looking for in life at that time as to how you view a place to live.

Commute is not a factor; it's only about things you require to live your life and enjoy it in that location.

Most folks on this site now are in the 20-35 demographic, professionally employed, and in the higher income brackets.

So, these folks by virtue of that are not going to select a "seechange" location usually.

I remember when I was that age, I wanted to live in a nice house, in a nice suburb, close to cafes, shopping, the Gee, nightclubs and so on...where it was all "happening", basically.

I used to live in Box Hill and Blackburn for a number of those years.

But, after a while; the traffic lights and traffic start to pizz you off, you don't need to go to a night club but prefer to have nice get togethers and barbies etc with selected friends..you start to seek more solitude and less...humanity....and noise.

I could live in a suburb such as Black Rock - nearer to the action, a nice suburb.

How about Kingsford then Michael - you get the food, the beach, the city all within fairly immediate proximity.

They say people tend to live 7-10km from where they grew up. I am in that bucket, went to primary school in Eastwood, high school in Carlingford and feel attached to the area now, haha.

    Cheers,
    Michael

Kingston is one of Logans true struggle streets. I'd say it makes its cousin Druie look upscale.
