I was asked by someone whether there was an ETF which covered the XMM (metals and mining) index or something similar ... I couldn't recall off the top of my head whether there was one or not ??

    There is now MAM.

    ENY for energy.
    FIN for financials.
    RSR for resources.
    IDD for industrials.

If the ML pick them up I will be happy.

Also check out ETF securities, they have various metals ETFs, one of which is a basket of a few metals combined. The seccode ETPMPM and is comprised of 04 fine troy oz gold, 1.20 troy oz silver, 0.01 troy oz platinum and .02 troy oz palladium.

    Cheers

Why do you have to sign documents etc. to purchase ETPMAG though? Not a normal ETF to me...

I'm told that ETPMAG is a call warrant, so the appropriate documentation is required prior to warrant trading.
