We had Christmas last weekend - son and family flew in from Melbourne, daughter and family came from Bundaberg to join us and Brisbane daughter and her family.

Absolutely fabulous. Eight grandchildren aged from 11 years down to 7 weeks made the whole weekend magical. We met the youngest for the first time - hubby has been unable to fly (eye surgery) since she was born in Melbourne in October.

We will do a smaller Christmas on the actual day with Brisbane daughter and her family.

Why do people say they can't wait... and then proceed to wait? ;-)

Can you come over and do ours? I have come down with a severe case of CBF.

We ditched our tree this year, and hubby made a small tree from a palm front thingy that he pulled apart and sprayed silver. It fits on a corner table instead of taking up so much room on the floor. Each year he will make a different home made tree. I have plenty of photos for inspiration for next year.

If you stomp on them they take up minimal space.

I recall the days when we actually went out and purchased a real tree (pine) for Xmas long gone now, shame really.

    Still no response?

I'm dreaming of my perfect Christmas. If I am painting the rental property, I will be stoked. There is about zero chance of that though. More like applying binder/sealer to the white set. Actually, I will be pretty happy if I am doing that on Christmas day. :)

Not really my thing. I do like having the time out. One of my best Christmases ever was a couple years ago laying carpet in one of the rental properties. The weather was perfect and the neighbours had all gone away so it was nice and quiet. It was just a nice, peaceful, relaxing morning. My earlier memories of Christmas are of family members arguing/fighting. For me, there have always been tears and/or tantrums at Christmas. So you see how I would find a nice, quiet, peaceful Christmas appealing! ;) :D

    Point taken.

Well I'm fairly 'new' to Christmas, we don't celebrate it but I enjoy all the lights, fireworks and the atmosphere so all that seems kinda relaxing to for me.

All I want for Christmas is nice weather, quiet neighbours and a good project. I'm not asking for a lot! ;) :)

    (your "Christmas" sounds good too)
