NSW Would you think of a unit as more analogous to an apartment or townhouse?

    E.g. something like this:

    5/57 Fairbank Street, Sunnybank, Qld 4109 - Property Details

    100% single story all with their own backyards. Not really a townhouse, not really an apartment.

    Would you think from an investment perspective they're more within a "townhouse" or "apartment" classification?

    I'd say a unit is more analogous to an apartment.

    It's funny because if you take one of these and put a second story on it, well I mean that's just what a redbrick is right. It's no doubt an apartment.

    I think units walk a fine line but I'm thinking they're more in line with townhouses than apartments.

    What about 2 level units in high rise buildings? Maybe they're called units because they don't sit on the ground.

    For me a townhouse sits on the ground, has 2 or more levels, a small backyard and maybe a front yard.
