Interesting article in "The Philippine Star 28th of May 2017"
Would you rather be 10yrs old with what you know now or be 55 yrs old with $3m?
    (The article actually says P100m)
ps if any knows how to (or is interested in it) attach a pdf to this tread I will email the article to them
    Pps Eight persons were questioned
Seven said they would rather be 10yrs old
One said 55yrs old with p100m

10yrs old with what I know now. I'd have $3M by the time I was 20 - 25 and be 30 yrs in front of a 55yr old.

Well considering the life I have lived/am living now, both options are far from appealing.

I don't know the currency and standard of living difference between Australia and the Phillipines, but for a fair comparison, I'd guess it should probably be more like 20mil AUD.
Either way, I'd choose to be 10 years old again regardless of retaining current knowledge or not.
Only condition is growing up again in Australia, not the Phillipines.

    ****, I'll take either one-off those scenarios.
I'm from Brisbane - over here, we take siestas after lunch, sweep the tumbleweeds from the street and wait for Abraham Lincoln yo build a railway.

Being 10 with the knowledge I have now would be very depressing.

A 10 year should be a child and free to imagine.... for most of us this disappears as we "grow up"

As a parent, I'm upset at myself each time I tell my daughter not to bring her toys because someone else will steal it / take it away from her.

Then i wonder, what message am i sending? :(

10 years old with what I know now, any day of the week. Although it may make school yard friendships problematic - not many Year 4 girls are into property investing.

I'm with Bayview. At 56, I would take the $3m and check out of the Govt JOB.

10 years old with what I know now. But for the love of coffee, do I need to repeat teenage years and wait to reach 18 again?

I think she'll turn out good either way. I grow up with beggars next to the school and to bring my sandals back in so it's not going to get stolen (they do get stolen, someone jumped our fence and took some). Kids will be kids, I couldn't care less

I was already smarter than most adults at 10. It was already way too frustrating, there is no power in being a child, I would not want to know more.

Where I am now is perfect and where I'm meant to be.

For most people, they are where they are meant to be. I'll bet that holds true for approximately 80% of this forum.
