Would you extend this or not?

Hey guys,

We keep getting stuck on what to do to our property so I thought I’d throw it up on here and see what suggestions I get.

We have a post war 3 bed 1 bath on 665sqm. The house is currenlty 88sqm and sits at the front of the block. The block slopes slightly, there’s 4 stairs at the front and 7 at the back.

We really want to add a deck, update our kitchen and put our laundry inside (it’s currently outside the back door). I’d be happy with a simple Euro-style laundry in our kitchen cupboards.

We wouldn’t be opposed to adding a master suite either but it’s not a necessity. We figure an extra bedroom and bathroom would increase the value of the house a fair bit but we also don’t want to overcaptilise.

Any suggestions/thoughts would be appreciated!

 

What’s stopping you from what seems to be a minor update (deck, kitchen, laundry)?

What’s your budget?

 

That’s what we’re thinking. Update the kitchen and laundry and add a deck.

No idea how much it would cost. Maybe a budget of $30k? If that would be reasonable
