I'm surprised he was still alive to be honest.

A rich character. His book's well worth reading.

He was well aware he was on borrowed time for half a century so I'm sure he'll be stoked with the run he had.

Marissa, never too late to embrace the greats ;).

If you like Motorhead, I also recommend:

    - Rose Tattoo
    - AC/DC (Bon Scott era only!), especially the Powerage album, which is in the Top 3 best rock n roll albums of all time for me.
    - Urge Overkill - softer, but still some top notch rock n roll, especially the Exit The Dragon and Saturation albums
    - The Stooges (Funhouse and Raw Power albums)
    - The Saints
    - Radio Birdman (aka the greatest rock n roll band of all time - Radios Appear (also in my Top 3) and Living Eyes albums)
    - The Cult (Love and Electric albums)
    - Afghan Whigs (Congregation and Up In It albums)

I'll also throw in a bit of something rougher, but still totally marvellous:

    - Cosmic Psychos. One of the best bands of all time, I love them; really dirty, nasty, low down, beer soaked rock n roll. Great, great band.

I'm sure others can throw in a few more recommendations.... Willair, I'm looking at you, mate!

Damn.. they were coming to Barcelona in a few weeks. I last saw them in Switzerland 8 years ago, great.

What the hell happened to music? Its gone downhill so much in the last 20 years (or am I getting old ? Naaah.. what the hell happened? Internet ?)
I suppose the good stuff is still out there, just not as popular like it used to be for some reason.

    R.I.P. Lemmy.

If I heard that music aged 10 it would have changed my life too. I'd make sure I didn't have to listen again :p:D.

The last time I saw Motorhead my ears rang for two days.

And I was wearing ear plugs.
