Wiamea might be on the back-burner as from what i'm told the Qld Gov may have problems paying out all the 2011 flood victims ''IF'' they don't have the insurance cover and then goes forward and appeals the case ..
Just have to watch the surf reports for now..

Alas I can not compare it to a Jaguar but I've been driving a Kia Sorrento around for work the last few weeks and I must admit I'm quite impressed.

Don’t get me wrong , these are all great cars. I mean I mostly drive around in a Tiguan at the moment and it does everything I need and more.

But Im bored and the jag with the 5L V8 delivers a smile with every prod of the throttle.

While the Europeans build great looking and fun cars to drive, you can’t beat the reliability of the Japanese cars and the Koreans as well these days.

Pre 2000 the Japanese built some great drivers cars. Now , while they are still great cars they have become boring. Cookie cutter corollas and Camry’s.

Let me assure you, while I'm not a huge "car guy" (I normally drive a ute for both work and personal life) I can totally get the idea of a 5L V8 Jaguar to drive around it. ;) I was just surprised at how nice the Kia actually is. It is nice enough that with the news Kia plan to bring a dual cab ute to Australia (exp 2023) I'll be keen to take a test drive.

I thought it might also appeal to the FIRE crowd. Not only gets one from point A to B but also mows the lawn:cool:.

There's already plenty of other threads about cars - please keep the discussion here on topic.

Yeah @Nodrog , your turning this thread in a discussion about Sheep mobiles. In fairness while there might be plenty of threads about cars no one has started one about alternative transport modes such as Sheep mobiles. Good work @Nodrog . :D

Now back to world indices. Could this downturn due to Trumpy making noise about more tariffs and no trade deal this year be just a negotiating tactic? Or will there be no deal come December 15 and tariffs will increase? Trump being Trump I am not sure anyone knows exactly what he will do. Don't know if even he knows what he will do.

But if he does raise those tariffs and escalate this trade war in 10 days time then I am confident we will see the share market cop a beating. Even though I believe it will be short term before they kiss and make up again.

I think Trump likes the volatility in the share market and is doing all this noise about tariffs etc on purpose - he is benefiting from it - or will. It's a purposeful move.

I dont know how that could be, as anything he does is so finely scrutinised its not funny.
    How would he benefit ?
World indicies are a very large thing to control and I dont think just one man can take full control. Its a good conspiracy theory though.

Anyway, where is all the admiration and worshiping for my Dec 3 crash call?:p:p:p

Ok ok well done on the call. While I am impressed I want to see some further movement down before I send out a cheque to you. Let’s get to 10% + down and then I’ll post that cheque out. :D

Over 3% yesterday, 1.5% today, getting there nearly halfway to 10%.
    Careful what you wish for.

I thought we finished 2.2% down yesterday?
Yes it’s a decent drop in 2 days. I don’t want you to completely crash the market, just a 10-20% drop will do. :D
I believe @Alex Straker is forecasting a low around 23rd of this month before a small rally early in the new year. Then further decline and a weak overall 2020.
Since your crystal ball worked so well with this weeks prediction, where do you see things going from here?
