    Will be interesting to follow this, it seems that the balcony was his only access to sunlight, views, airflow etc etc.
    It shows that when we get the council letter advising of adjoining development we should look carefully and if we have any concerns put in submissions directly related to breaches of the planning instruments (not the group action route which usually does not work because it is too general and goes down the NIMBY path). I have been to many council meetings and seen this dismissed out of hand........especially by Hornsby Council.
