    Anyone but me drink Fortifieds?
Pfeiffer Topaque and Muscat from Rutherglen is a favourite
Like a port as well, any suggestions?
I get mine from Uncle Dans but would join a list/club to get more variety

I was given a couple of years ago a bottle of De Bortoli's Old boys 21 port. It's unopened and probably will remain that way as I don't drink it - or any other alcohol to any great extent

Rutherglen I frequented often in my youth. Had some good times around there if I was able to remember them. Morris' made a darn good liqueurs.

Further south is Chateau Tahbilk - odd thing, the town doesn't have 'h' in its name. I do recall it made a pretty good Muscat.

    Love my forts!

Have a barrel setup at home, get topped up with bits and pieces but is mainly Berri Estate purchased in bulk by family from the cellar ~$5-7 a Litre
Previously used to drink a bit of Galway Pipe @ ~$40 a Litre - Berri Estate stuff is gold especially at the price.
Used to get in it in 10-20L but now only down to 5L casks

Wouldn't a winery go into "liquidation"?

Yes seen that one another forum, pretty sad they make some quality wines. Most wineries cellar door sales look to be doing pretty well. Wonder what went wrong.
Interesting to see if they make it out the other side.

    Pay the man.

Business. The company had a capital injection late last year so I'm guessing they were already pushing it to survive.

Happening more often and not just to wine makers. Tessa furniture closed it's doors last year after over 50 years of producing high quality goods. Sorry for the side track there.

My favourite wine region. I especially love Stanton and Killeen.

5 years ago on a trip to France we visited the Dordogne region. Saint-Emillion was fantastic with all its wine caves. But what floored me was a visit to a winery at Monbazillac. At the cellar door I bought some bottles of a stunningly delicious sweet white at €3.50 for 375ml, I nearly cried when I saw the price. But also dirt cheap beautiful wines in supermarkets, it blew me away.

I read that Tyrell's has written-off most of its 2020 vintage.

I assume that has got to hurt their bottom line for this year and possibly future ones.
