Plenty of hot days in 70s and 80s and you had to continue working outside in the sun.

People are going soft due to some hot days in sucession.

What do you think the settlers and abos put up with before AC arrived.

Nothing to discuss, you will be dead from old age before people abandon Western Sydney which is cooler than over the range usually. Unless it is a climate change debate you want, but that is different.

I'm not so sure. I'm feeling dramatic changes in last few years.

I'm watching a video from the end of that article now, I would recompensed to check it out. You should be open minded on these subjects as it's closed mind thinking that could take us to places we don't want to be. Video at end of this article, Longer and hotter: the summers of our future

Well now your on to something else, so will drop the leaving Western Sydney thing.

How old are you ? I suspect young.

There have been changes, such as sun effect on skin, but your felt changes in last few years my be from reading and hearing too much, just like if you buy say a mazda 3, all of a sudden you see them every where.

The weather goes in patterns.....drought and flood etc, just because has not had that many hot days in a row for many years does not mean everything has happend just recently.

And what do you propose to do when so many on the planet not willing to give up things like cars AC gas and electricity.

I think it is pointless really, it is a no win discussion.

Also what are you doing to lower emissions ? Don't assume I am closed minded because i take a realistic approach.

My mind, unlike with some things, like property, cannot change the climate.

a bit older than some people on this board I would assume ;)

The facts and events speak for themselves including the hottest ever days in NSW and 3 years in a row of record temps.

I'm not going to argue over something that is so in your face it's not funny. I'm also not some far left extremest, actually more right but just enjoy a good conversation and debate. I will not debate though with people that the only way they know to convince someone is to call them names and put them down.

I'm out of here! Anyway enjoy your day, !

Yeah, I realise now your the near 55 year old unemployed person who would not say where you were from when asked multiple times.

We will see if Western Sydney prices stall and crash after multiple 40+ days.

No the population of western Sydney isn't going to up stumps and move due to a few days of heatwave. They will turn on the aircon and carry on

Hopefully people who are building new houses out west give some more thought to the benefits of insulation.

Not to the East Coast. Because the sea water is arising. Inner West is the best place to be :)

Plenty of other places in Australia sweltering with similar temps this week. This may be uncomfortable to hear, and contrary to popular belief... but Sydney is just like the rest of the country.

    Doesn't feel cooler tonight...
Issue with living in the Upper Blue Mountains - you prepare more for the cold winters than the summers -
ie. no thought is given to air con, ceiling fans, etc.
    rookie mistake I see now...
