I am looking at getting a veda credit report. Is it going to be recorded in my credit file? Is it going to affect my credit score?

No - accessing your report will not be listed as a credit hit or affect your score.

It's just noted as an access, not an application.

Thanks, Corey. Is it different from banks checking my credit file? What is the difference between access and application?

Access is where you get a copy to see what's on your file. Application is where you apply for credit.

Banks review your credit history when you lodge an application. The application is listed on your credit report, showing a history of the credit applications you've applied for.

You accessing your own credit report won't have a negative impact on you.
