You know that was hobo jo on the Somersoft forums? He's always been extremely anti property investing, of course he can find reasons not to buy here lol. Any sensible person can use the facts, as well as assess the returns on offer and make their own decisions.

If you're not interested in Adelaide don't read the threads, no ones forcing you. I know for a fact that half of the active members on this site either own in Adelaide or are actively considering it. I've been to SS Meet ups in 4 different states and talked to real people who are real investors who have confirmed this.

By spin you mean anyone with an opinion different to your own, and then report any posts that contradict your point of view as "bullying"?

I am not dismissing what you have achieved, why would I do this, how do you think I started.I am pretty sure I mentioned this on a previous post.

There's 2 beneficial things about nras here
    1) rents are cheaper than other states, so 20% discount rent from a lower base means less rent "foregone"
    2) more people here qualify as tenants under the income eligibility test

As always, do your homework :)

no I mean someone who is not honest, I don't believe that is a bully. Someone who bullies is someone who attacks for no reason, you should know what it means surely.
I have mentioned there are and have been better markets and there is evidence to back this. There are no drivers to jump into Adelaide, if you disagree then come up with numbers to prove me wrong. I am sorry you disagree we are both entitled to an opinion.

You were pretty harsh on NB spruiking, what do you think this is?

First I would need to know what NB spruiking is before I can be educated on what it is

Next time you accuse someone of bullying, perhaps have a read back over this thread and your own comments.

Perth is slowing down, actually it is going backwards. And I reckon one of the main reasonS is that there are not many investors in the market. It is investors (with NG :p) who push the price. Then only FHBs panic and jump in.

Adelaide will boom if the investors drive the price. After the APRA changes, Adelaide's high yield pockets actually seem good areas for the investors.

If the rents are low enough for house holds which live off centrelink, then fantastic places to buy for investors. Unemployment is not an issue at all.

Actually for investors who chase cashflow, Adelaide is far safer than regional properties.

Yep the special Territories NT/Canberra and Tasmania.

I have stuff in Qld, NSW, VIC, SA, and WA...so the 5 major mainland states.

Not sure whether I will buy more in Adelaide. I want to consolidate to less states....as I said I think Sydney in a couple years will offer excellent buying....

NB a very successful Syd guru you bagged, review your comments

If business people come on this forum promoting a specific area/State then they should back it up with actual examples, otherwise they risk being challenged. I apologise if I have been a tad aggressive, I do not like double standards

no jobs, fear sets in, market sentiment is a huge one.
    Regional properties where?
I believe slow down Australia wide, just look at what is happening, not a pretty picture at the moment.. APRA, Au$ in decline, unemployment on rise, share market on roller coaster ride, China share market in free fall

I am not a negative person, but come on let's not be in denial, let's cover our arses, that is the way forward, those who manage risk not those who jump into declining markets
