Mads Mikkelson is a really good actor too. Just thought the character was a bit quirky.
The poisoning scene got a bit ridiculous too.

Seeing the early release screening tomorrow night. Let you all know what I think. From the reviews it seems casino Royale is craigs best bond with this a close second.

Craig's best I'd say. Also felt more like a bond movie with more one liners and plenty of references to the early movies :)

Was there any of the corny or sexy quotes?

(After a gangster is crushed in a car) “He had a pressing engagement.”

Bond: “I always enjoyed learning a new tongue.”
Moneypenny: “You always were a cunning linguist, James.”

Yeah more corny lines the film just seemed so old school. It would be in my top 5 for sure. The theme song is a disaster though. Everyone in the cinema was laughing at it lol

I thought the movie was great. Theme song was good too. I don't understand why anyone would be laughing. Nobody giggled in the threatre today, but there were only about 20 people there.

    This guy's rankings sucks balls.

    1. I didn't think Die Another Day was that bad. Not the worst of all the Bonds. FWIW the 2 worst Bonds film of all time for me were License To Kill (drug lords, yawn, I mentioned this earlier in the thread) and Tomorrow Never Dies. I almost cried walking out of that movie vowing never to watch another Bond if the next one was as bad as that.

    2. For Your Eyes Only at #11 is way too high, easily in the bottom half of Bond films.

    3. The World is Not Enough in the Top 10? Yeah, Pierce Brosnan, Sophie Marceau and Robert Carlisle were a good cast, but not in the Top 10 Bonds of all time. That Aussie Gladiator was in it as well BTW, but of a cringe factor there.

    4. The Living Daylights at #8? There are no words. Again, deserves to be in the bottom half.

    5. The Top 7 I can't really argue with except for some minor changes, the guys clearly a Connery fan (who wouldn't be). Casino Royale is a very, very good film. The endless debate on the #1 of all time continues to rage...

    don't really agree.
The best bond flicks were the living daylights, casino royale, octopussy and for your eyes only was also ok, but not as good as the others.
Tommorow never dies was ok. It would have been a poor film, but Sophie Marceau was great in that film. One of the best femme fatales and worth watching for her performance.

The man with the golden gun has to be the worst though. Every list should start with that.

"Thunderball was remade, outside of the official Bond canon, as Never Say Never Again with Connery in 1983, but the original is definitely the best."

What was the deal with that?

Some guy had the rights to the thundrball/casino royale source material. They were able to negotiate casino Royale hence why it got made in 2006 but they held the rights to Blofeld and Spectre until 2013. That's why in for your eyes only they never call him blofeld and he is not credited as blofeld. It was a bit of a we don't need the rights so screw you.

MGM finally acquires full legal rights to Thunderball after thrilling jetpack escape
