Yes indeed it certainly is raining. Over 100 mil yesterday and so far today. And over 200 mil in the week prior to this. All so far has been steady rain / showers so it’s getting to soak in rather than run off. The soil needs it too. There’s supposed to be a lot more rain on the way.

Apologies to those who might be tiring of my excessive posting:oops:. Maybe I should create a Nodrog thread where I can talk to myself and others can ignore me:).

Yup both of them invest in mostly productive assets except MIR has nearly 5% in non productive asset i.e. Cash. Can’t be good for long term returns :p:D

@Nodrog posted those sector allocations about 30 minutes ago.

MIR may have spent the cash since then. :p

Didn’t think of that either. Thank goodness I hadn’t gotten the Sell order in yet.

Could not resist. QVE Sorry @Nodrog. But no need to panic and hit sell button yet. I noticed share buyback notice today so all that cash being used wisely buying own stock at discount to NTA

Now you know. There is a reason why @Nodrog likes dividends. It’s raining money baby!

oh my god @Nodrog you missed telling us about more dividend payments. Looks like you need an assistant to keep track of your dividend payments.

Who thought too much of dividends can cause such problems.

    cheers

I'm guilty of not diving into this one as much as I probably should have. Not much capital growth to speak of in the last 5 or so years, but that's not unusual, and currently at a yield of about 3.75%ish, which is OK but not stellar, but what I didn't see was that special dividend every year since 2013. Now various LICs went above the odds last year for reasons we're all familiar with, so perhaps there won't be one this year, but damn they're pretty sweet when they do hit.

I don't count specials and franking in my calculations because it just makes sense not to, but I can see why the love, frankly... <-:D

Which is where I found the DRP handy and excluded them from any cash received (No. of shares held x (special dividend/total dividend.)) When no specials a slightly greater income anyway due to increase in shares held.

I'll let the other 7,256 shareholders know that. As for shareholder numbers 7,257 and 7,258 we'll get some soon under the DRP. You're shareholder 7,259 you'll be last.:D
