Why is the western areas always the crappier side of town?

    Sydney's east handles majority of the **** In the syd metro area - malabar, bondi and north head. ... they are the biggest ********s in Sydney! :p

    Some of the most expensive real estate in Australia is in the Perth western suburbs. Its near the beach and river and both Fremantle and Perth CBD are easily accesible.

    Its all about the location.

    I thought Perth was a Western outer suburb of Sydney and that is why everyone is avoiding it ?

    lol..... well I remember quite well when we used to laugh at all the tourists who would flock to swim at Bondi, I wonder if they thought all those floaty things were some kind of jelly blubbers :)

    Even at Cronulla you would always get an ear ache (well I would)

    Well that was HOT wet & wild all in one....I am probably more of the later chaotic looking one, but hey, I never swam at Bondi with the floaters & would never have a big BBQ at a water park :p:D

    I think @datto was having a nice day trying to cook some snags before he passed out....ba ha ha

    Back in the day the plant operators at Bondi used to float on li-lo's down through some of the channels! :eek:
    It's amazing how you can get desensitised to something when you work with it long enough!
