looking at the websites I wonder why the Real Estate in Broome in Western Australia is so expensive?

Is there a big industry there or something ?

Hey I lived there for a few years. Now in Kununurra. Prices have always been up and down as locals speculate on the proposed giant gas hub at James Price Point and similar developments. The market has dropped but not all sellers are realistic, and what they need to sell for depends on when they bought.

The Broome lifestyle also helps to keep prices up. A never ending supply of well paid government workers come in, fall in love with the place and buy.

I have looked up Kununnurra on Air BNB and none there ?

i would love to tour the outback of Australia maybe go on 4wd tours.

I would like to go into that Swift Bay area and see the Crocs etc

I imagine it costs more than a overseas trip though

Yep would cost alot. Why not get a year off work and come up, pick up a casual job with accommodation thrown in? The Kimberley is vast. You need plenty of time.

I thought they jacked up the prices to keep the riff raff out.

I’m assuming that’s due to one of my posts?
To my knowledge the only access to swift bay is by boat or sea plane.

Not many people have heard of swift bay.

Broome is expensive because it is spectacular and Cable Beach is one of the best in the world.

The population triples in peak season.
