    Great question

and I want to re-define that.

would you rather make $100 million dollars and lose it all or not make any at all and be comfortable?

Not sure I understand the question..
If it's money as a medium it's another question but getting money = good vs loosing money = bad, is like saying it would be good to loose my left foot.

Can I ask, are you enjoying the journey? Or are you only doing it because of your perceived outcome? So what if you don't get what you want?

I could post the same thread - "why do we view losing your legs as bad".
Hands down, the latter (using my version and definition of comfortable). I am not comfortable with life making the money I think I need to later pull back, work less, and be 'comfortable'.

I do not dedicate my all to making money, but if I were to make $100 million I would have to.

I was driving home last night from work and framed a question in my head, one that I've similar asked before along the lines of: "If you could earn a million dollars using all the hours of the year, how many hours/days in a row would/could you work?". (I previously asked "how much is your day off worth, to you".

After 3 days with minimal rest or sleep, with a hypothetical (I choose this number as an imaginary "a lot") annual projected earnings of $1m at that rate, I can tell you that it is IMPOSSIBLE without significant personal psychosocial side effects.

Yes LOL .... great research tool! I can now understand why people like Demartini work their butt off to get their teachings to the masses. Our way of thinking needs to evolve.

Wouldn't it be better if your husband still had an ego(head up his ass), with the millions still in your pockets, and have the choice to help people in need with that money. Is what I mean.

Money isn't what makes you not like yourself or vice versa. It's just money.
It doesn't define you as a person, your actions do.
As I said, if your an ass with money, your probably an ass without it.

There is a guy with no arms and legs called Nick (from aussie) ... he was born that way. He was depressed about his life and then when he was a teenager became a speaker at schools, talking about love, trying to discourage bullying etc. Because he had no arms and legs the kids listened to him. He's written some good books about his life.

Yes, I know the guy, and he is inspiring. But I do not want to lose my limbs just so I can refocus what is significant. I consider myself overexposed to illness and death, and glean an importance of the fragility of life and what is important without personal loss.

The great news is that you can refocus on whatever you consider significant AND keep your limbs.

    Nick Vojicic is awesome.

I am a little sensitive today and gave my babies an extra cuddle. I think that's why this post on the meaning of money has grated me.
You all read/saw the local news this morning. There are some things you don't need to see, hear, touch or think about.

Love it ... I was just using it as an example for why losing your limbs doesn't have to be bad. There are always people out there who get handed a bad card in life and make something of it. Life is a masterpiece if we allow it to be.
