@Coota9 yes. Keep in mind it's only a rumor. My source is an ex player who knows the right people and hardly gets it wrong. Told me about the essendon saga before the media and i didn't believe him at first but wasn't wrong.

From what I was told his afl career is over. 3 strikes and you're out.

He was on his last chance at hawthorn. He left hawthorn to get away from the bad company around him. I think the afl will cover it up. They can't afford to lose him and the financial gain behind him.

Yup, but what are the 2-3 "strikes" for?

Is the "mental illness" the cover?

I'm a non follower of AFL. So can someone tell me how the AFL determines when the grand final is played? I ask this because the NRL GF is always the October long weekend. This is a good idea considering the NRL GF is always on a Sunday. But then it seems to me that sometimes the AFL GF is on the same weekend as the NRL GF, and sometimes it's the week before? This year they were the same weekend and last year, different?

    See ya's.

AFL Grandfinal is nearly always last Saturday in September. This correlates with all the qualifying finals, semi finals, preliminary finals being in proceeding weekends in September.

This year they ran a week behind schedule because of other sports going on at the grounds in March (might have been cricket from memory?)

The hawks had to wait an extra week to collect their cup! Hopefully when they collect next years it's on time!

    Trade period day one

S Selwood (WCE) and Dangerfield (CROW) both go to Geelong
    Suckling (HAW) off to Bulldogs
    Melksham (ESS) off to Demons
    Leuenberger (BL) off to Essendon
WCE and Sydney discussing trading Sinclair for Jetta. Not a straight swap, Sydney will have to spice the deal I think.
Freo discussing possibility of getting Bennell (GC) and Macarthy (GWS), not sure what they're offering
Carlisle from Bombers off to Saints (not yet complete, still arguing about how much hes worth)
Yarran from Carlton off to Richmond (not yet complete)

A couple of other names thrown around, but still 11 days of trade period to go.
