I like my job, I'm good at it and it pays well. It has taken a lot of effort and money to get to this level and I would feel like I have not finished something if I left now.

The only thing I don't love is working 5 days a week. I would be happier working 4 then 3 days in a couple of years.

People ask me if I won 20 million in lotto tomorrow would go to work on Monday. The answer is 'yes'. But I would transition to 4 days a week and have a couple of weeks extra leave a year to travel.

In a couple of years I would transition to 3 days a week and retire in 2025. Tax would be a killer with $20 million so I would spend a decent amount on some good consultants to structure the investments well.

There is a difference between having enough assets and having cash flow!

Just because I get out of bed at 6am doesn't mean that I can't wake up until 10am

My wife tried retiring a few years after I did but, 3 months in, decided she had more to give. She got a job doing in-home care for the elderly for 3 days a week and she really likes it. My prior line of work (project management) gave me no likely option for joyous part time gigs so, alas, I remain happily retired.:D
