Every morning for as long as I can remember. I'm usually ok after a glass of water and a shower.

I am like this every now and then, the "brain fog" is something I have every so often also
Come to think of it the days I do not work seem to be the more "foggy" days.
Starting work at 7ish most mornings + Self employed I wake at least an hour earlier to load ute and somewhat visualise what needs to be done etc I reckon that gets the brain tickin over
I did buy some ammonia Inhalants once

They will blow ya socks off!

Well - that's true for me to. Definitely not a morning person (hubby is, which is soooooo annoying).

Although up at 6.30 - I take until 9am to really get going - fortunately the gap can be filled with chores like feeding horses/pets, clothes washing, shower, breakfast, school run etc.

Then I'll often feel like a nap around 2-3pm, but try and avoid one so that I (in theory) feel ready for bed nice and early for my dawn wake up ... slog thru the evening ... then ... PING ... 10pm I'm wide awake and not the slightest bit tired for the next 2-3 hours.

I'd love to wake up refreshed. Usually need a good 10-12 hours sleep to get that, which is about half of what I get on weekdays thanks to a 2 hour return commute every day into the See Bee Dee.

Doing a light workout or yoga before bed helps a little.

My son wakes up between 3.45 and 5.10...

If it has a 3 in front of it I am not refreshed.

I'm always tired. Not enough sleep, bad quality sleep etc. Being old and fat doesn't help.

It's getting harder for me to wake up as it's getting colder (and the bed is so good).

The last time I woke up really refreshed was week 2 during 3 weeks break, wake up clear mind, no distraction, no stress. I think I'm allergic to work :)

Fresh on most mornings. Quick shower, dressed and ready for work.i usually sleep early but not tonight. Early for me is 8-830pm and because my day is intense. No alcohol for me. Intolerance to alcohol makes me a little sick. No smoking. Lots of fruits.

Mornings are struggle town for me, even when the reason to get up is to go fishing.

I feel awesome almost every morning, I get excited knowing I'm alive and get to start the day. Even if I have to start at 5am I'll get up a little earlier so I have enough time to read and chill at breakfast.
When I get to work I feel like sleeping

Except for Barny, I think it's plainly obvious that for most of the posters here a Bloody Mary (but hold the tomato juice...) could be of assistance here to the other sufferers of morning lethargy...

I'm usually a bit groggy first thing but it works - I go to the gym at 6 and by the time I'm home I've just woken up.

Are you sure it's the gym that you go to if you're not awake until you get home?

There's probably a coffee shop nearby who get annoyed that you do workouts in there every morning - but are probably quite pleased with the amount that you pay them for the privilege.

I'm waiting for my latte. Someone just ordered smashed avocado. I must try it one day. Yes I'm awake!

Believe me, if there was coffee there I'd know about it!
I wonder if that's a thing? If not it should be. I saw something about a yoga class where they drink beer so maybe coffee and squats could be the perfect winter workout solution!

Quick update on the "intolerance" to nightshades thing.

Had chicken sate for dinner last night - nom nom nom - used a packet sauce. Been struggling today to get the brain functioning and any interest in life in general, ate leftovers for lunch, in bed for over an hour this afternoon with exhaustion ... guess what ... sauced contained tomato paste

    Rats and damnation
