Bunnings is closed in Sydney. All of them. I went early Sunday to get a few things and had a wistful wander though the building supplies. It was like saying goodbye to an old friend.
I've been sorting my screws and nails and bolts this week.
    It's come to that.
I had them in all sorts of places - lots of unopened packets.
I'm confident I will never need to buy another nail - rarely use them anyway.
Or another Dynabolt. Goodness knows how I ended up with so many of them.

Don't you have a white card? You can go to Bunnings if you have. :D

I'm thinking about getting a PowerPass. But maybe I need a Bunnings detox.

Hehe, that's the funny thing, they will allow anyone with a PowerPass in as well.

I believe you can still click & collect though.

It s been like that in Melbourne for all our lockdowns. Tradies only (I..e with a powerpass).

I have a Powerpass but, given that I see people in building sites sometimes not wearing masks, have not gone in at all since lock down!

Yep - the other half took the opportunity to buy 12 bags of potting mix the other day on click and collect. No delivery fee, no need to get out of the car - staff load it all up in the back of the car for you! We reckon it's so much better than normal times :D

Yes, we can 'click and collect'.
    It's not the same, though.
Hopefully in 4 weeks, they'll open again. I think I have enough Dynabolts and screws to last me.
I am going to need a couple of sheets of formply, though. Not sure if 'click and collect' will work for that.

You can do click & collect. Maybe we're not as efficient as Melbournites though. Friend had a large order in, but hadn't been notified that it was ready. A few days later she rang them. She was told it was 8 days for click & collect. She cancelled her order, found her white card that she was issued around 10 years ago & went there in person so they could do the work that was required.

Not everything is available on click and collect tho - I've had to have some products delivered, and hubby is making a doubled-masked-run today

I did some jack-hammering and trench digging over the weekend. Finally getting back into the project I started at the beginning of last iso!
Of course, now my back and soft computer hands are suffering!

Getting close to ticking another project off the list :D

There's a 15ft drop into the neighbors yard, so with paling's falling off, being thin, warping and being brittle we have been worried about someone going thru it one day

Replaced with treated pine decking boards, thicker, stronger and a much nicer finish (on our side) than the terrible quality and finished wet sawn products available ;)

Will have to refill the pool soon, the weather will soon dictate the need :D

Is there no risk of the pool "popping" up out of the ground without the weight of the water?

New parts of the fence look much better.

My shed project continues. Finished the timber storage. Anything I can't fit in those racks gets put out the front of the house for people to take.

Also made a storage thingy on wheels. Used formply offcuts and drawers from school science labs. Those drawers are great - 1960s NSW Department of Education plywood construction. That cabinet holds a lot of stuff. I'm more organised than I have ever been.

    I love those drawers.
