Who does skirting?

    It might be a bit of a Perth thing. Double brick with a concrete pad doesn't really leave a gap to hide as such. I will take some pics when I get home.

    It is rare over this way to see tiled floors with wooden skirting. Almost always, the tiled areas have tile skirting. That's because tiles are usually wet areas. I will upload some pics when I get home.

    I used to do it quite a lot of skirting. But then I got married... and mrs blacky doesn't let me any more.

    Skirting also protects your walls from chairs/furniture hitting it. For $6.6 installed and the cost of buying it and painting it. It's probably cheaper in the long run. And it looks better.

    Skirting is not "required" in any type of construction. It is personal preference.

    Fair bit of work in mould out carpentry to get it perfect eg mitres , planing and more. People need to stop recommending handymans on this forum and shopping at bunnings for skirting and arcs would cost you more money than elsewhere aswell.
