So you're going to keep your woodwork in Antique White USA? It's quite a yellowy white.

I would suggest Dulux Lexicon 1/4 or 1/2 (never ever full) strength, Dulux Vivid or Dulux Whisper White

If you are keeping the antique white, you won't want a white that throws blue. Blue and yellow are a no go for me.

Here is a more detailed description of popular Dulux whites: Dulux Best White Paint Colours - Explore Most Loved Whites | Dulux

Don't trust the colours on the screen though. They are not even close to real life.

This blogger suggests Taubmans Crisp White - probably the truest white, so that's a possibility. Good post: Looking for a white paint? - Katrina Chambers

You would have to get some samples and hold them next to the antique white. I would start with Dulux Whisper White and Taubmans Crisp White.

Our new place is Dulux white on white - it's really nice, not yellow at all in our space.

I've come to realise the natural light in your house will affect the paint white hugely - I loved Whisper White previously and had it painted in a newly built IP only to have it look quite yellow - not what I'd planned at all.

Vivid is just the dulux unmixed white, it can be pretty hard looking in some lights.

I used lexicon half at my place it it looks great.
One thing to take into consideration is your lighting, if you have stark white or warm white hues, the lighting can have a massive effect on how the paint colour looks in the evenings, just something to be mindful of.

White on white is great just checked it out

What is annoying is how colours date so quickly

I used Hogs breath a couple of years ago in family room, loved it at the time, now dated, damn

What about the fad of a feature wall, deep colours like crimson, deep blue.....yuk

Is your wood work antique white? or is it the distressed paint in white?
What is 'good', will depend on your floor coverings, amount of natural light/window coverings.
We used British paints "Love Note" and really like it in our place.

I just went lexicon 1/4 for a PPOR - looks great. Will look even better when we dress it up with some pictures/art.

    Cheers

Ah I'm with you now. You could possibly do a half-shade of the antique white on the walls for a brighter white that matches with trims.

Yes, I have always prefered the cream, the bone, the white, the off white, the ivory or the beige

White on white has a touch of grey to it. Rather than an antique white cream

Great for an IP covering blemishes etc, but can date or look 'yellow'/tobacco stained over time

Painter is finishing off my PPOR with Dulux Natural white and it came up brilliant. It's the lightest warm Dulux white color. Doesn't look too crisp or sharp but still pretty white if that makes any sense. Not seeing any hues of other colors at all in daylight and at night , it warms up the place nicely.
