My sister and her husband are having a tough decision. Note, they have 2 kids, year 2 and year 4. Old enough not to mess up the carpet. received_624940734617072.jpeg received_1845640358873867.jpeg

I think the colourful one is great with the couch. Also works brilliantly with the floorboards and wall colour.

Patterned rug gives the whole room a lift.

If there’s going be lots of clutter, kids toys, kids books and stuff on the floor and in the lounge, I’ll pick the plain color one. If it’s clutter-free and minimalist, take the colorful one.

    Take the colourful one.

Kids 2 and 4 will still spill things, have accidents etc

Thanks for the thoughts. I guess there is no absolute right or wrong. @Marg4000 - year 2 and 4 = about age 7/8 and 9/10.

I think the second one brings in the sofa colour so it ties the room together better.

Sorry, I read you post to mean kids aged 2 and 4.

Still prefer the coloured rug though!

They ended up going with the first one - it felt nicer apparently. And they tried to go larger but they apparently don't come any bigger.

Good choice, the white in the second carpet would soon be grubby and hard to clean ... :D
