QLD Which parts of Southport and Labrador on the Gold Coast should you avoid?

We are not from the Gold Coast and are considering a standalone house in Southport or Labrador for PPOR or investment. We haven't made up our minds about moving to the Gold Coast. Would appreciate it if you could share the parts of Southport and Labrador to avoid? And which parts are the better areas of the two suburbs?

 

this just got thrashed out on the Gold Coast thread!! Chirn Park, Labrador and Southport, lots of views, crime stats, accusations, rebuttals, offence taken, and revenge sought. The whole thing. Shall we start again here, or maybe join in hte GC thread?

 

I prefer Labrador over Southport. One of the worst parts of Southport is High St, up near Stevens St end - lots of boarding houses around here where the residents pay $200pw for a room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. A lot of them are **** ***** plus there's quite a few ***** **** and ********* ***********
