Which is best, and why? Lots of slander directed from Sydney towards Melbourne ...... Brisbane towards everyone, Perth towards East etc. Which is really the best? Why is that?
You still have 55 minutes to edit your post. Can you also add the Gold Coast to your poll, I think 10 options is the limit
Goomungee sounds like the place to be.. https://www.domain.com.au/103-105-mocatta-street-goombungee-qld-4354-2017165744
It was sooo tempting ........ but being so one eyed about Logan, i would end up in a fight and be banned !! I don't think I have many demerit points left so to speak.
we need answer to 'why'. otherwise it is just 'cos @sash says so', which is fine ...... but why Melbourne in 2-3 years? Climate Change?
Because I say so as the Red Emperor..you should know that my dear Blue Face minki! Okay on a more serious note..... as I have stated that Brissie does not have the jobs base Melbourne has nor the skills. A lot of the people moving from Sydney and Melbourne are thinking short term...they are tired of the lockdowns. What they are not seeing is this: 1. Qld is well behind in vax rates...second only to WA! 2. When they do open up...it will be interesting to see how their hospitals will cope. Their hospital system was already under strain not as bad as WA and SA but still pretty bad. 3. A lot of businesses are impacted particularly in the tourism sector. 4. Yes the Olympics and some infrastructure projects will provide jobs. But to keep it in perspective a lot of Olympic stuff exists. This is the premise why Brisbane was chosen..I don't think they will spend more than $5b. 5. Based on previous cycles people will rush up to Qld and most will realize there are less jobs...but great lifestyle. ...and they will also realize that as prices in Qld escalate they are not much better off in Qld than Melb...maybe not Sydney.
People can work remotely while living in Brisbane, I know a fair few people who do this. Olympics coming, which will keep Brisbane housing strong. We may not have the vax rates right now but we're getting there . We haven't had lockdowns like down south.
Brisbane preferred for me due to liveability, having lived in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, UK and Singapore. Close second to Brisbane would be Adelaide that everyone seems to under-rate.
