Yep, it's top shelf. Among my projects we're looking at doing another update of our PPOR. The wife and I were just talking about kitting the kitchen out with gaggenau appliances. We do like using Bosch in our projects though as they're good quality and value.

I only ever use Miele. Just import them. Save $$.

I saw some nice looking Falcon ranges today. Sturdy little beasts.

    Even available online.

I'm going with Siemens for our new build together with an Asko Drying cabinet. We chose Siemens because it's a good family of products and didn't have the stupid agency pricing deal that Asko/Miele etc have.
I was able to score a nice trade discount.

I'm not sure about every capital city but Brisbane has a Miele outlet that sells discontinued and 'seconds' stock. The seconds stock usually contains a blemish you can't see..

We picked up two ovens, an induction cooktop and integrated dishwasher.. I can't remember what discount we got, but think it was something in the order of 40%. Stock isn't abundent so you have to regularly check in to see what they have.

How much does a Miele go for?
And how much do you save by importing?

    Just an update.
So my research is almost finished and I am leaning towards Bosch series 8 ovens and cooktops. It's considerably cheaper than Miele. Both German. To be honest when comparing the features and reviews I can't pin point exactly where Miele is superior other than their clever marketing of their brand 'Forever Better'.

I spoke to the real estate agent who sold our last house and she said in their opinion Miele is is the most desirable by buyers followed by Bosch (a close second). So I don't think I will bother paying double for the Miele. Besides I'm kinda in love with the look and functionality of Bosch series 8.

Also when I am ready to buy I will most likely import it directly from Europe rather than pay top dollar here. I never pay retail

I have already found a few places and ways of doing this.

Thanks for all your input. I really appreciate it.

Next up research of hardwood flooring and stone bench tops.

Let me know if you want me to share what I find as I'm always happy to share with you guys. It makes me feel like I'm able to contribute to the forum. There is such a wealth of knowledge here and I feel like I'm always taking.

I looked at Siemens but unfortunately because nobody stocks it in Canberra so it's not so well known here.

I didn't look at the drying cabinet. Is that a dryer or one of those steam cabinets/cupboards that work like a personal laundrymat?

    Hi Angel13

In our property buyer's agency, we are finding that our clients tend to have a preference for and lean towards Miele or Bosch.

    I hope this helps.

Whats the price point and the demographic?
Expectations at $1m and $2 or 3m are different and old money/private school blue chip suburbs vs other expensive suburbs different again
