Where to get property listing data?

    Hello, I would like to build search engine for real estate. Do you know if the property listing data available somewhere? Maybe some sort of unified database that provides that data for some fee?

    Also, do you know if it would be legal to crawl such data on existing real estate sites and represent it in limited searchable form? Not copying and re-publishing the data, but only making it searchable - like showing just a title and small icon in search results, and when user clicks on details - redirecting to the source site, like google and other search engines does.

    You can start off with the postcode address database from Aus Post

    What sort of data are you going to show?

    Putting it another way, what info would a user get, or get more easily, compared to the free sites or asking an agent or mortgage broker to run a rp data search?
