Hi, I've got one IP in Redbank Plains, QLD. Please suggest which are the other propespective suburbs in QLD or other states where I can buy an IP around $320k which is neutrally geared or positively geared. Thank you.

I'm currently doing research with similar search parameters and would be keen to hear people's thoughts. There's increasing interest in the Moreton Bay region in Queensland while I'm also looking at what's available in Adelaide.

    Hi @sham.v007, @Le Phénix,

I've actually replied to a similar thread recently so just linking to what I said:
QLD - Where to buy in Brisbane

Hope this helps with your DD. And keep asking more questions because that's how we all learn :)

Moreton Bay is getting tough at $320k that's bigger than the median of Caboolture. Can be done though. I have seen some good deals recently. The northern growth corridor is a nice balance of investors and OOs so its expensive compared to West and South. Even logan is tough at $320k (for a house)

I'm kind of hamstrung by my borrowing capacity/serviceability, though my budget could be pushed up to around $350K or thereabouts if there happens to be a slew of $350K threads on the forum :p

Thanks Whitecat. Can you name some suburbs for IP in Moreton Bay?

For $320k you will be down the line a bit if you want close to rail and in good condition.
    Narangba
    Caboolture
Morayfield has some very well located properties around $260k (in a little spot that I like)
Might find something in Deception Bay away from water and rail.
Hardly any nice properties in low 3s anymore closer in.

Dare I say it you might even want to look at a townhouse to come in a bit (@JDP1 :)) , otherwise you are going to have to go west or south to pick anything up for $320k

I might have to abandon the north after the windfall of the metro to the southern suburbs.

Look at suburbs of Logan - Crestmead, Marsden, Kingston, Woodridge, Logan Central, etc

Actually turns out its just a bus using the existing busway. Still a good thing but not light rail as we hoped.
Whilst i think the bus solution is a cop out it will be an improvement to the cbd congestion.
