Where do you think is the best place to buy something for under 300k at the moment?
Are there any reasonable opportunities with this sort of budget? And why? Would love to hear people's opinions.

Has far North Queensland risen much off the back of the Brisbane boom or has it stayed flat and therefore shows opportunity?

Are Western Australia regionals going to perform?

South Australia has already boomed quite a bit?

Or should I wait until I have a budget that is better?

I have been observing where-to-buy-with-300k posts for last 9-12 months, we had Ipswich, Christie Down/MV, Rockingham, Burnie and doubt they're not options any more.

Maybe Whyalla the Iron triangle area if mainly looking at the investment happening there.

    Open for other thoughts...

I've also been looking at 300k. I've considered the following areas:
Toowoomba (hard to get sub 300k any more)
    Warwick
    Mt Gambier
    Rockhampton

Rockhampton would be the only place that I’d look at , but it’s started to move .

Queenstown in Tassie has places under 300 ( 200 as well ) . I remember they used to be around 20 …

Don’t take that as a reco to buy in Queenstown as I have no idea what it will do .

Won't find much quality stock for the 300K mark in Townsy unfortunately. 400K it can be done.

I was targeting Thornlie and Maddington in Perth 2 yrs ago just before Covid stopped my trip over to go shopping. Missed the jump and now much higher. Haven't looked recently but Gosnells may still be worth a look around $300K

Eliz park dav park smithfield and craigmore

If I had to choose I'd be going the Adel nth but other than that I like Hamilton cause it literally has everything! Tafes schools hospitals airport train station major brand name shops and with the new regional budget released big money will be spent in the area! My social pinpoint has been released by the shire council where they have asked the people where the money should be spent! Hamilton has as much as Frankston in terms of shops remember it's a MAJOR regional town like a Traralgon And I've spoken to many of people about this. Alot agree but many disagree!

You'll find something reasonable in Rockhampton for that money, but I'd get onto it pretty quick.. I've been to a few inspections lately and they are getting very busy so I think prices will start to move.

Hamilton is already on fire though.. Do you reckon it still has some steam left in the current cycle before the rate rise?

I would stick to the main cities and then see what`s within the $300k range. Brisbane and Perth. Better to spend $50k more in those places than buying in Moe.
