    Which areas would be best to target in Brisbane in the 500-550k range that are closest to the city and would have good capital growth potential for the future? And hoping on cashflow positive otherwise natural is fine

    You have missed the boat with most suburbs.

    650k Rochedale South,

    Inala might be still affordable, but is not easy distance to the city.

    Forget about neutral or positive CF. Near neutral is possible....I would look at Lawnton...Strathpine...Bray Park...before they move even further.
