Hey all, hope everything is well.

Just doing a bit of research on managing my rental property myself...
Where do the majority of self managed landlords advertise their vacancies? I believe that real estate .com will only advertise through an agent?

    Cheers,
    Mick

It depends on the area where the ip is located if re or domain are more widely used.

Most agents will do sundry letting so the hassle of attending opens is minimised.

You can use forsaleforlease to get on the major sites. I think it is $99.

    Thanks for the replies.

I have done a bit of research today and I reckon rent.com.au is the best bet. The prices are good, they also seem to come up near the top of searches on google when searching for houses to rent. I see they also have extra stuff like tenancy checks, which is definitely silly to not use I guess.
I will definately not use gumtree, I have used this for things in the past and seem to just always get hassled by scammers for some reason!! I guess I could use the local paper, but do people still read newspapers, Lol.

Does anybody else use rent.com.au? I guess they have the perfect name for people looking to find rentals?

Blacklisted tenants and other similar types use Gumtree looking for places and find first time or inexperienced landlords trying to save a dollar. A great combination.
