    Hi All,

I bought a property with specified percentage of ownership (Tenants in common). May I ask where in the legal documents it shows the ownership percentage? Please note that this property is in QLD

I couldn't find it in the contract.

    Kind regards,
    Nad

It's usually in the contract (in NSW on the first page where all parties sign):

If not 50-50 then as well as check box that says "tenants in common" also check box " in unequal shares"

However, even if no selection is made on signing, the conveyancer or solicitor also has this as a form to fill in where the ownership %'s are recorded.

The only legal documents that really reflect the ownership percentage are the transfer documents and the title.

If the property has settled, you can do a title search here: Title searches and copies of documents | Business Queensland.

If it hasn't settled, you need to speak with your lawyer and they will reflect it on the transfer documents.

Yes the transfer or certificate of title.

In NSW the contract may not reflect the ends result.

    Hi Terry_w, JDM,
    Thanks.

Do I get those documents with the settlement or I have to pay and get it from the link provided by JDM.

Please note that this is for a property that I purchased an year ago.

    Kind regards,
    Nad

You should get a copy of the transfer.
