Everyone thinks their leader is doing a better job under the circumstances than the other states.

I'll be able to ski in NZ before I can go to Hooters on the Gold Coast.

I think most of us look at the mess of other countries and realise we've dodged a very big bullet ... and are happy with the go slow status quo

    Of course that's concerning.

But he must have had comorbidities. He'd been off work since November, and respiratory symptoms only came in recent weeks.

He also hadn't been in for Covid-19 testing despite having had symptoms for weeks. There's perhaps an indication that he hasn't sought medical help.

There has only been a total of 10 infections In the region of Central Queensland, with only one of those currently active.

With the region having a population of 220,000+, median age of 36 and a population density of 1.9 persons/km2 (third lowest in the State), one can understand why he probably felt he didn’t have COVID, even though we have been inundated with testing advertising.

Demonstrate the dangers of being gung-ho!!!!

That one will be an interesting one. I wonder if NZ will be choosy about which states it lets in - I think perhaps they will. So they might not let NSW and VIC people be in the bubble for awhile.

Which leads to the $2m question: warning it's a little long winded and I will make specific to WA. WA has a hard border closure so effectively (for now) we are in our own bubble. This forces WA people to spend their WA tourism dollars at home and in "reward" for not allowing anyone in and being stuck here there has been greater relaxation of restrictions. Do they balance out each other or is it even more rewarding for the WA economy to have more relaxed restrictions than the restrictions of a hard border closure on the economy.

I'm thinking the ability to have 300 pax and 2sqm physical distance will be a lifeline to local businesses. We are back to the "new" normal much quicker than other states and I hope that it will mean local businesses are able to get back on their feet and not go under.

Nathan Turner did not have COVID-19, autopsy shows
So a false positive on the first test and the young man had actually died of an unknown, yet to be determined cause. How could this happen and why was the cause of death announced prior to an autopsy?

Is that good though having extremely low numbers at the expense of lockdowns ? The few countries aiming for zero new infections are going to be in a pickle in regards to integrating back with the world. Quarantines are not feasible long term. In Europe the goal was to get it under control (not zero) and that has been achieved, so European borders will probably be open before Australian states, target is July 1.

Yeah good point , God l really don't know man.
l suppose if we look at it that way , every country is gonna have to learn to deal with new cases or isolate forever - or a vax.
l think l would rather we get things moving again thinking of it that way, it has to be done
    l feel better , thanks.
