When is buying an apartment advantageous? Lower LVR?

    Below are what I generally see as the benefits of getting an apartment:
    * Better rental yield (but be careful with strata costs to ensure they are not too high which negates the impact of high rent)
    * Better value in terms of location - you can get something closer to key infrastructure/stations and facilities for cheaper compared to house or townhouse
    * You can negotiate harder for a lower price given there tends to be more supply of apartments in general - the fact that people are wary of 'new developments' could be used as an advantage to push down prices lower (ensure you do the required due diligence on the developer and the development)
