Nah mate, it actually feels fast lol, its a well balanced car which is why I moved from the Lib GT to this, The Lib was an amazing vehicle but you sort of came along for the ride and occasionally encouraged it to go this way or that, driving the MX today I was actually a bit all over the lane as I get used to the steering.

Ultimately though, I bought it cos the lid goes down and damn do we have some awesome weather in NSW for the next 2 weeks :). The power feels good, very linear through the entire rev range :).

I will say though, as much as I love Emma already, it was really quite sad saying goodbye to Scooby, he has been an amazing vehicle for us for 6 years :)

I drive one of these babies. So rare on the roads, I see more Tesla's and mustangs

Yeah sounds great! But I imagine the older cars sounded better due to not being turbocharged??

Haven't done any mods, unlike many Veedub enthusiasts - it's better to save the money for property!

i love the look of the R. I think I've only seen one in Perth and had to follow it for awhile to see what it was :)

I'm a rim scraper - it's the bloody low profile tyres and I have black rims which when scraped are silver underneath so it's really obvious. I bought some rim tape from Ebay but I haven't put them on yet.

I thought about getting black or spraying the rims, but considered that point. Plus $2000+ for rims is ridiculous

Yeah I love it, unless they're into cars, I don't think many people know what a Scirocco is

Unfortunately I bought my car second hand and so the rims and low profile tyres were the choice of the previous owner. But it is a lovely jet propelled cruiseliner to drive (Cayenne Turbo)

Well you saved enough money by buying second hand that you could use that to buy new rims and tyres if you wanted to ;)

But I'm a scrooge. There was nothing wrong with them besides being impractical for my parking 'skills'. So they are used until they need replacing :p

Thats one reason, the other is the V6, cylinders 1 and 5 resonate against each other giving it that snarl that we associate with European cars.

Ferrari sound the way they do (and are specifically engineered this way) so that the 3rd and 6th cyl offset against the air intake and provide an amazing sound, it's referred to as the 3rd and 6th harmonic.

Turbos are good (cheap power in the order of 7kw per lb of boost) but they "can" impede the sound coming from the exhale of the motor unless designed to not do so.

As much as the sound on the veedub 6cyl was amazing, it was a smart move to go to the turbo 4pot, much better for the fuel conscious of us (and there are more and more by the day) and it was emissions compliant, I believe the 6 would have needed some major reworking to be compliant under the updated emissions laws.

Or they could just cheat in the test. BOOM!!!!!! I had to do it ;)

Alright, it's not a V8, but riding one of these around the carpark is not bad for an old bloke.

I parked in the city recently and there were charging stations in the parking lot. Also many large apartment buildings are now being equipped with charging facilities.
