How far would 8 hrs charging at home get you?

I think actual driving range depends on air-conditioning on/off, head lights, number pax in car.

Tesla really good car for modern look/feel n drive.

Probably takes while to get use to it. (No noise driving)

    @D.T.

Plenty charging station around Sydney. Plus preferred car parking spots for green cars at few malls.

I have seen heaps driving around Melbourne. They are starting to get really popular for a car worth upwards of $150k. "Ludicrous Mode" sounds sooo tempting.

A friend (owns his own business - not a developer) bought a $220K car recently to get to work. Sort of a "why not?" treat. We saw it this week for the first time. It's very nice but I'd prefer half a house.

but if your friend can afford it and it makes them happy why not.

    I have a new quote -

Its not how much we have but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

Another BMW lover here :) This is my 3rd. the latest one is a 520i which is the upgrade from the 320i in the pic of all the cars. As you can see I have the "nice" car while the hubby and factory manager have older Falcon Utes. :) Works for me!! :)
The 520 will get updated possibly at the end of next year... depends on what BMW have on sale at the time

I had an upgrade to a 535i rental in the UK. Phenomenal car. Bit over current budget though.

I mostly drive the bus or train.

I have a mid-seventies statesman that comes out occasionally. It's a 308(?. V8 5L) I think. All original, love the shag pile carpet. It's like driving a lounge room and uses $20 worth of fuel just to get to the letterbox.

Absolutely agree. Just for me, cars are not my "thing". I say good on him.

My brother has three sports cars. It is his "thing".

Wife just upgraded from 2011 Fiesta Zetec to a new Mazda CX5 GT.

I just traded my 2010 Liberty GT on a new Mazda MX5 GT, doesn't get here till the end of April though.

I don't think I qualify though because I am just starting out so I can't be called a "successful property investor" yet ;)
