What's with the RE.com search thing, it's mad.

It won't keep new areas in the search , keeps going back to the one in it prior.
Also the price low to high thing, can't find anyway to make it work.
Why the hell do they mess with this stuff , fancy starting a thread just to find out how to work that damn thing.
lt had the simplest best search thing out there probly 8yrs ago , now it just an over weight pain in the A.

Either that or l'm missing something, but then you shouldn't even be able to miss anything anyway

    Yes it's very terrible.
At one point it stops sending me Alerts.
When asked to sort by price it's never in order- I believe it's the prices that Agents put in behind the scene.
It's visually distracting with different size/format of each property.

Yeah right well that's the thing. l thoroughly cleaned the pc yesterday ,cc cleaner, gets everything, but it's still doing it.

Yeah it seems to lock in or saved whatever search l normally use, even after cleaning still, and won't take any new search.
l can put a new search in, but then it keeps going back and adds it to the other searches.

    Crazy piece of garbage.

YES. It's the most frustrating thing in the world!!! You set the price "high-low" and vice versa and you get properties all over the place because these agents aren't being held to account for their dodgy background pricing! I used to report the worst of them, but REA's reporting function is so time consuming that I've given up.

Been like it for quite a while now. I'm discovering lots of apps are harder to use than the actual sites. Gumtree app for one.

I've been trying to use Domain but unfortunately here in Qld it seems RE is the favourite....

l never bother with apps for anything , as soon as they start saying you should be using the app l'm like ha , yeah right , l can just see it all now.
Every now and then l try some sites new app, no surprises , worse than the site itself normally, every time.

Anyway ,l'm hoping RE see this thread, wake up and fix their damn site up.
They use to come to the old forum and actually listen to complaints remember, not that it helped much.
Back when they first started ruining a good site.

Glad I'm not the only one experiencing it. Thought my new phone was the issue til I tried my old one again. They try to make things 'better', but it just seems to go backwards.

Same with Gumtree. Use to be one of the best and simplest sites on the net and their search thingo was fantastic.
Now the garbage freezes my pc nearly every time l try to use it and their search is as bad as RE

Homely is my favourite, very cool little site makes it easy to figure out where everything is.

Realestateview is in a solid third place behind Domain and REA. Great looking website with decent industry backing (much easier to use than Domain) and becoming more and more popular by the day.
