What's the ideal water billing setup?

    Totally agree with you on this one @Xenia.

    As you would with other expenses.
    You get sent to the poor house (refer to @Xenia's reply). If you're unable to bear the delay in cost recovery you're overcommitted.

    I structure it like this: owner pays water bill and scans and emails me the bill.

    I email the tenant the bill and they pay it along with rent I process it as a deposit for water bill received for owner.

    "This is the case with Qld, but in Vic properties the water companies are kind enough to split the bill and invoice for supply comes to owner and invoice for usage to the tenants."

    I hope Qld urban utilities can do this one day, one less task for me to manage.;)
