I lectured COBOL programming for a semester at Uni whilst completing my Honours. This was in 1994.

It is amazing what one can learn on PC; some of it really useful, some of it not quite do.

I was a tutor at Uni while completing my IT degree - Fortran, COBOL, Algol, BCPL, ...

I was tutoring first years when I was in second year and third year. That was 1975 and 1976.

We didn't call it IT, it was called Computer Science.

    This can be useful...
If you are in a food shop and see fruit flies with whiter belly than the others, likely female with eggs ;) and sometime you can see two chasing each other to mate. Might need to decide to look for a different place :D also, in lab condition somehow they lay less egg before it rains

Did you mean that you will be sacked (or maybe de-sacked if you are male) if you are not good?

I'm not sure the ability of inference/deduction is a skill? When I watch movies I'm always able to figure out the ending before everyone else. It gets freaky once I was watching the news when a baby girl was kidnapped from her mother, my immediate reaction was "she (the mother) did it!" As she pulled an empty stroller back home after her girl was "snatched". It turns out a few days later the mother did it.

Ok... question about fruit flies. A neighbour has a vegetable garden. She has a Yates fruit fly trap thing (liquid in a bottle). She says she was told there is a different recipe for males and females and if she bought only one, to buy the male one so they cannot impregnate the females.

I'm curious about why there are different liquids for males and females?

o_ONot familiar with the products, but I am guessing male more attracted to hormone that indicate breeding. Female more attracted to food source to lay eggs.

Trivia: in some fruit fly species, the male inject toxic sperm into the female to kill competing sperms

Photography, a skill which began when I had to photograph listings for sale - the agency had an old camera which printed photos at the touch of a button, I think  - its been so long I had forgotten!
