Most industries will have risks. I personally am not investing in mortgage choice but if given choice to pick one between CCV and MOC I would pick MOC as I have better understanding on how company makes money and provided there is no significant structural changes to industry I can foresee the company making more money 5-10yrs from now. Secondly, there is long history of steady rise in dividends and cash profits something that is very important to me as an investor. Current yield also makes it attractive.

    Cheers,
    Oracle.

MOC surged 12% a few months ago and now down a fair bit quite suddenly. Is that a buying opportunity?

What are your plans for these speccies? Do you have a price point at what you plan to recover some cash?

It closed up about 65%. The sales volumes at close were huge, and I think it will hit 100% Monday based on the commbank orders.
I was going to take my money out at 100% gain and dump it back into LICs, but much of the good news we were waiting for hasn't arrived, nor been priced in. So maybe at 400%?
We are talking chump change though, money I was prepared to lose... but I did a lot of reading around the company and the topic, and was enough there that I could see value in it.
I might just let it run and run forever...Nothing to do with investing, but my old man bought some at the same time and it gives us something to bond and laugh about - that's worth more than the purchase price :)

I only have 2 speccy stocks. This and Tesla. The rest is split between managed funds, LICs and ETFs, with a hanfdul of 'bluechips' that i bought early on. My biggest problem is equity... I'm trying to take some short cuts to get some.

Anyone else buy broo beer ltd IPO stock. The IPO was 20cents, it floated on Friday and today has closed at 45cents. The ticker is BEE.

I reckon it's got a bit more to run before the hangover kicks in and the price slips back. Long term once the price stabilizes, it will be a good company I think.

MTA closed at 8.5c today. Ever so closer to a 100% gain in 4 weeks.
Still should have some room to run. Made up for catching TPM falling at 8.50, then 7.95.

Of great interest to me, my MTA parcel is now up 114% in about 2 weeks. After chasing it down a dip, this has now become my biggest holding in my portfolio - yikes. 10.5c (26% today alone).

I don't think I'm ever likely to get lucky with a speccy again (this is all it is), but this should have a pretty free run up to 20c from here.

Im just going to let it run, at least until all the expected announcements are made. I contemplated buying a bit more this morning at 8.5c, but was too busy working. Damn!

Snapchat IPO planned for early next year. I don't even have a snapchat account, so, not sure where/how they are making their money. Anyone thinking of snapping some snapchat?

WES has been beaten down hard yesterday and this morning. Solid business with a couple of dog brands. Worth a look around 40 pesos.
