Here's hoping. My buy in is average of 0.115, so a bit to go to become green again!

Speaking of, is anyone else using St George Directshares? When MTA changed to BAT, I lost visibility on the portal of my cost basis. There are other scenarios where the cost basis becomes a bit useless as well, such as stock consolidation or split. Do other platforms cope with these situations?

    Cheers,
    Inertia.

My criteria is to let the old school low cost lics such as argo bki and Milton to decide on my behalf with their dedicated research team instead of me aimlessly looking at a commsec price chart and forecasting or speculating!

Out of the banks, i'm pretty overweight in NAB.. hence why I was topping up the other 3. I also hold Macquarie as its a bit different to the major 4

In the CommSec system you can edit your cost basis. Have you tried in St George?

I’m still a little underwater. I have free carry targets in mind.

My largest is PLS. It is about20% of my 23 holdings.
I'm thinking of removing it from my stock app and not look at for a long time.

No - it's more that the share price of PLS is up, but no dividends, so lovely and green on my portfolio page - whilst FMG is quite a bit down, but pays nice dividends, so ugly red on my page.

I like green - but I have to remember that it's about the dividends too

Yes i have 48,000 shares in FMG ( Fortesque ) bought them at 4.52 so have been in the RED mostly with them although a months ago they were up to 5.30.(should of sold then)

Im waiting patiently for FMG to hit $6 this year , i believe it will happen.
Time to buy FMG in my opinion

TPM tpg Telecom is a great buy right now at 5.54 . Moving into india as well, Will definitely hit $7 just a little patience.... just a little patience...:)who sung that ?:eek:wasnt that a song?

Of course DMP Dominos rising again , so buy in at the current $42 price before it eventually hits $48 again, great dividends.... Hungry Jacks owner Jack Cowin has increased his share holdings !!!

TLS telstra .... dtupid stupid me ... i have sold at a loss of $6,0000 as it keot going down down down down to $3.21.... i dont like selling at a loss but what is the alternative?
To lose more or invest in something else ?

Increased iron ore stockpiles in China, leading to lower negotiated iron ore prices, which will lead to reduced profits this half-year.. surrounded by the threat of a trade war between the US and everybody else, throwing many commodities into an uncertain period.

Oh, and FMG is one of the highest short-sold stocks right now: https://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt

A lot of negativity at the moment. We got Donald Rump picking a trade war fight. Putin has such a problem with his gas that it's affecting the Poms. Shorten wants to stifle tax refunds. And to top it off, some Australian cricketers have got a problem with their balls.

Is that enough blood on the streets to start buying?

You're right. It could hit $6 this year.
But it also could hit $2. 2 of the most used words in the stock market - could and should.
