Stock market and property market looking a little tipsy, I'm about 1/3 cash right now ready to buy some more equities, maybe a regional VIC IP if it comes off the boil

There needs to be context. If income is four times all expenditure, the PPOR is owned with no mortgage, and there's income from a dozen sources, the a lot of cash is not needed. I always look at cash as a multiple of spending with the units months or years. If a person spends $12,000 a year and has $6000 in cash that's six months. If income only just covers expenditure then more cash is needed than the four times example above.

As a percentage of total assets (with and without the PPOR) my cash is quite small. In terms of time it's quite comfortable. If the redraw is included then the cash is significant.

Not really holding any cash outside of nominal amounts just income coming in and then going into assets. Pretty much debt free though so not much requires servicing.

Had $10 this morning which I had to spend so I went to the ATM and with Debit card got another $100. So my portion of assets to cash decreased 9 fold. Have not had Cash for 30 years, use LoC. A more meaningful question would be how many years living expenses can be drawn, and how much liquidity is instantly available.. At the moment have about only 3% of assets, or 2 years costs at hand as have recently been buying high yielding shares and have of 20% of assets as liquid . The figure is low because of recent phenomenal GC. Might buy a property this week so it might all change and sell one in 2 months and change again. If you have cash flow holding cash may not be the best idea.

Sold 3 IPs last year at the peak, bought 2, with spare cash left over, around 10% of total at the moment, waiting for a bargain to turn up.

CF is very strong from business, commercial real estate here and abroad. About 18% sitting in offset. Numbers will change soon as making a purchase in the next few weeks. Hungry for more purchases as opportunities present themselves.

No I don't have any regional. All capital cities. For Aussie property, approx 60% Sydney, 20% brissy, 20% Melbourne.
