    It's only a one off $1000 required, not $1000 a month.

Haha they probably all used the same $1,000 across all the 20 friends.

Interesting that no one took the cash - like that radio game 'steal or share'. I guess the threat of 19 others coming after you.

That's what i thought to! He would have stumped up the capital. Great idea to beat the banks at their own game

If you like that @bob shovel CBA are doing a cash back on credit cards at the moment - believe it's low rate card waived annual fee 1st year - spend $500 on the card and get $250 cash back - money for jam, keep in mind your credit file though.

He sounds intelligent and very savvy - but needs guidance to ensure he uses it for good rather than evil - keep an eye on him and find him a mentor that can challenge him

Exploiting genuine and legal opportunities for gains is a good challenge and helps creativity.
As long as it does not become obsessive for him to the point that he has to optimize all returns at any cost.
This could potentially cause resistance to being generous and trustworthy to others if the need to gain from every situation becomes amplified.

The example of rorting the transport system does not reflect well on his morals. If he can make enough money in a single transaction for an overseas holiday by exploiting his father's phone situation, then he can pay the correct fare for a local bus ticket.

wooo, my draw just dropped this morning,

he calls me up and says, im going to europe for a few weeks, and im flying "businss class"!!
    do I want anything?

apparently , he signed up to amex and has been bugging all his friends and relatives to pay their bills on his card, and hoarded points like a scavanger

in 12 months, hes gone from zero to enough points doing business class via emirates!

now im officially jealous of a 20 yr old kid!

All good as long as there is some sort of reciprocation offered to his friends, otherwise he may wonder why they all drop off after a while.
