amazing how many of your mates could fit in such a small car.
i think i still have the scars from the 5000 degrees seat belt buckles.

 

NICE!!!!!, Always wanted a real one but never did get one. My mate was running the Webbers, I started with a single 1 3/4 SU but it was just too big for the engine and gave a massive flatspot if you mashed the loud pedal (Like a 3 second lag), I swapped it over to twin 1 1/4 SU's, even through it was more volume being across two carbs fed the air in a little easier and the power was instant.

I remember the first time I drove it after the swap, came into a corner in the wet and floored it because I was used to the 3 second delay of my flatspot...... Engine went bananas, front wheels spinning, nose going straight. Nothing bad happened, I backed off and it corrected but it's amazing how quickly I got out of that flatspot habit
