I actually think there is a lot of people on here who's stories have shared the hard facts of life. From people who have come in for advice on how to handle properties going backwards to people that have shared the speed bumps in their own investment journeys.

What people tend to gloss over

    1. that you will get into arguments with people you've never met and really shouldn't care about but you get drawn into the vortex.
    2. that property and PC is addictive and will take up a lot of your time.
    3. that you will meet some awesome people outside of all your normal friendship groups who will enrich your life
    4. that hindsight is always amazingly clear so don't beat yourself to death over decisions made with the facts at the time. Regroup, reassess and make decisions going forwards
    5. Be cautious, be patient and be conservative. The deal of a lifetime comes along once a month

We are having fun, back to topic

Charts, graphs on property are over rated, same as property clocks and most gurus

I don't agree. @Kate Moloney was very brave and awesome for posting her investing disaster.

I have posted my mistakes along the way. It can't all be beer and skittles, can it @Blacky? ;)

That CIPs aren’t always better than RIPs and nor are they passive income.

And fry your brain at times - or often, or some individual tenants do. There is always one.

The forgotten part is when you go to sell and as things age and what the market generally looks for, etc....I had people asking me about this, and no matter how many times I said I would not do it, they would ask me again, what would you do....lol....funny hw many people ask advice with a pre thought out correct answer that should be given....*sigh*

    C'mon Wylie...your among friends...rolling in cash is not dirty here .. :p

Much less, prob divorced, or lot more loans and it would have prob meant not enough $ :):):)

Ask the lucky one, I think they call it homestay.....just keep them away from Kmart and Bunnings etc :);):p

They don't tell you that you can meet some pretty cool people and gain some great friendships in real life.

Only 3 years of PC & our first proposal :D (though there's probably been alot more JVs).

@Simon Hampel - how many proposals did Somersoft elicit?

There were at least 2 Somersoft weddings that I'm aware of (people who met via Somersoft). I'm not aware of any PropertyChat couples or weddings yet.
