What should a possum company do to help rid homes of possums and how much would it cost and anyone know a good one ?

I’ve had them for so many years

They wee in my roof and it shows in one room ceiling

They fell through the porch and laundry ceiling leaving holes

I once paid someone who did nothing I was shocked when after a friend Refered him to me saying he was really good and I paid him some hundreds of dollars
    He then said
    He doesn’t put cages
    He doesn’t catch them
    He doesn’t block holes
    He did nothing !!!!

I’ve been told they return as they r not allowed to be taken far away and they smell their way back or others replace them

    Solutions pls

Not allowed to trap them anymore. So what they do (we get them in rentals every now and then), is put a one way door in the roof so they can come out but not go back in.

Should also look at fixing up any holes in the roof or pruning nearby trees to reduce their ability to return.

Many years ago we used, "Peter the Possum Man". For his fee he guaranteed he'd get rid of the possums in our house for a flat fee. I don't recall the fee, but it was less than $1k.

He had to come back 4-5 times, but he did get rid of the possum.

Have you tried providing them a possum box fixed onto a tree outside? They will go outside at night to find food and sooner or later will find the box and hopefully decide that is a nice place to live. You can make one yourself (there are instructions on a few different websites including the Bunnings website) or buy one ready made (refer Information Page of the Wildlife Victoria website).

I think you've got a case of mistaken identity.

If it were me trying to get rid of a possum in Mitcham, I'd trap them, drive them over to Donvale, and release them in some unsuspecting suckers backyard with a few apples for lunch.

But alas, possums can't be relocated more than a 100m or so. Thus I had to get a professional to sort it out.
