What mistakes did you make when you first started in IP's?

    Buying a PPOR before an IP was one of my biggest mistakes.

    Then buying an IP with family was a pretty big mistake as well.

    I considered this recently due to finance issues and had done a few projects with the other family member. He changed his mind about the whole thing when it came to setting up the trust, I'm thinking it was for the better now.

    Biggest mistake was not starting earlier. But then I wouldn't have travelled as much as I did either.
    No regrets, plenty of time - and enjoying the ride.

    Biggest mistake was selling when we felt we had to build our cash buffers. This was either before moving overseas to live, or during the GFC.

    My mantra now is avoid selling, if you don't need to.
